Describe the bug
I noticed two issues immediately, after starting to use the new 3D editor with a newly set up project, not a pre-made one.
One that I could capture on screenshot is, the light settings don't apply to a model dynamically when I change it, for example, in my first screenshot there's a light bulb, imported from an asset pack for quick testing. When I set the material to "No lighting effect", it was only seen when starting a preview, but in the new 3D editor, this change was not real-time at all. In this first screenshot, the light bulb can't even be seen.
To fix this, I had to reopen the whole project. The bulb is then seen correctly: with no lighting effect, seen in my second screenshot.
The second issue was, the models didn't load after importing them from this very same asset pack. However, I couldn't replicate it. It always worked since then. But, when trying the editor for the very first time, with these asset packs, I can give a description with steps about what happened:
Steps to reproduce
- I created a new project.
- I clicked "Add object".
- From there, I chose "Asset store".
- The asset pack I imported was "3D Scene Essentials", created by "Eldarduil".
- The assets are now in the "Scene Objects" panel, and the editor is in the new 3D mode. When I dragged the newly imported assets onto the scenes, they didn't have the models and textures at all, only showing the "GDevelop cube".
- I reopened the whole application.
- I opened the project, and the models were correctly showing, along with their textures.
I hope I could give enough description about these two issues. I tried the second one 3 or 4 times, but I didn't notice it since then.
