PRIDE reshake module access issues and future plans

I'm experiencing access errors with the PRIDE reshake module, which appears unable to connect to the PRIDE database at present.

According to the discussion in the PeptideShaker Google Group (https://groups.google.com/g/peptide-shaker/c/2RGpJcrw9Wg), there seems to be uncertainty about the future of this module.

I would like to ask:

• Are there any plans to remove or rewrite the PRIDE reshake module?
• If the module is being maintained, is there an estimated timeline for resolving the connection issues?

Currently, this broken functionality may cause confusion for first-time users who expect all features to work properly. Clarification on the module's status would be helpful for both users and developers.

I'm afraid that there are no plans to rewrite the PRIDE Reshake module. We simply do not have the resources for it. And in any case, those wanting to reprocess data from PRIDE most likely also want quantitative information, which is not something we ever got around to implementing in PeptideShaker. I'm therefore expecting that the demand for the Reshake feature is relatively limited. But I will see if I get the time to disable the feature to reduce the confusion.
