I have a discord bot which creates a connection pool at startup and maintains it while running.
When diagnosing slow startup issues, I've found that creating the connection pool (with 3 connections) is the slowest part, taking around 4 seconds. I figure there's going to be some delay here no matter what, and I'm guessing part of it is a problem connecting to the database, but I'm trying to see if there's any way I can speed this creation up.
Any advice on how I can improve the initial creation time, or do I just have to give up those 4 seconds? 😢
