Seeing full statement?

Is there a straightforward way to see the full statement that's sent to PostgreSQL, with parameters encoded inline? (Ideally, I'd want to log these at DEBUG level.)

The statement is in a binary form. It isn't sent to PostgreSQL in text form, so I don't know how you want it to be displayed.

Long story short, this library uses binary protocol to communicate with PostgreSQL, so it compiled first, then it's binary form and parameters has been sent separately. It heavily uses prepared statements, and I haven't seen any library in any language to show a full statement "before sending".

@eirnym, that's right. The text of a query is sent to the server exactly as passed to a fetch() call, and the arguments are encoded and sent separately in the Bind/Execute message sequence.
