Is deduction more computationally expensive in terms of energy required than induction in our brains due to extra required reasoning?

Deduction requires on some level computation for simulating the abstraction of all potential outcomes and the computation of what that abstraction should even be. If so, this would explain why we use it sparingly (only when necessary to avoid severe risk) but could we change the underlying computational medium in order to change this?
