Are Alpine.store('storename') values shared across multiple windows of the same domain?

 What is the scope of Alpine.store()? Does it persist across multiple windows?

I’m trying to understand the scope of Alpine.store() and whether its values persist across multiple windows.

 Scenario:

1. I define a store using Alpine.store('pablo') in example.com Window 1:

   document.addEventListener('alpine:init', () => {
       Alpine.store('pablo', {
           lastname: 'johnson'
       });
   });

2. Then in the same Window  and modify the store:

   Alpine.store('pablo').lastname = 'messi';

3. Then I open a second Window (same URL example.com)and run

   console.log(Alpine.store('pablo').lastname)
   

   But it shows the values from the beginning (johnson) and not the one from the first window (messi)

So I would like to know the following:

1. Does Alpine.store persist across multiple windows, or is it scoped only to the current window?
2. If I change a value in Window 1, should it be reflected in Window 2?

Alpine.store is just a global container for the page (not across windows). You can use persist to remember values between sessions but it won't update cross window if they are open at the same time

Alpine store is scoped to the page.

You could make an interceptor (like Persist) that uses broadcast channels or postmessage to communicate between windows on the same origin
