Installing wiringpi shouldn't be needed.
Cloning should be from this repo (since git isn't installed by default, I'm just running curl -sSL https://github.com/darkgrue/U6143_ssd1306/archive/refs/heads/master.zip -o temp.zip && unzip temp.zip && rm temp.zip in my automations, so I don't need to install anything else.)
Not sure exactly how the linking works, but would it be possible to just create a github release with the binary? Debian packaging might be going a bit far, but just having to deal with the binary and service file could get it down to very little that has to be done for install.

Was also thinking about if there's a way to make the refresh timing configurable at runtime. I was thinking maybe an ENV since I think systemd file make it easy to set that (I may be thinking of a systemd extension I use, don't remember off the top of my head)
