Feature Request: Selective Release of Salary in Salary Withholding Document

Problem

In the Salary Withholding document, ERPNext currently allows withhold of salaries per employee, but when releasing, the “Release Salary” action releases salary for all employees at once.

There is no option to release salary employee-wise, which creates issues when:

• Only some employees should have salary released
• HR wants to stagger releases

Proposed Solution

Add a dialog when clicking “Release Salary”

When the user clicks Release Salary, ERPNext should open a multi-select dialog listing all employees with withheld salaries.

Dialog behavior:

• List of employees (name, Employee ID, amount withheld)
• Multi-select checkbox
• “Select All” option
• Release only the selected employees
• Keep others still withheld

Backend Behavior

• Release Salary should apply only to selected rows
• Other employees should remain under withholding
• Salary Withholding document should stay submitted and allow tracking of partially released employees
