What happened?

When resizing the window, the application generated from iced seems to lag behind the mouse.

Context

This was done with a near 1:1 copy of the counter example, with no additional logic or functionality.
The issue persists regardless of the application being built in release mode or not.

What is the expected behavior?

The window resizing should be smooth, like other applications.

Could you please try running the counter example from the repo's master branch, and see if the issue persists?

I have a similar, but not exactly the same, issue:

When I start resizing (i.e. hold the window border), my desktop instantly freezes until a few seconds after I release the mouse on a different position. After the desktop stops freezing, the window resizes.
My hardware is a bit weake, IdeaPad Pro 5 14AHP9, which might explain the difference in the experience.

I noticed this a few days ago in my own iced application (no update of the application). I guess it may be caused by a windows update, but I don't know for sure.

I just performed a fresh clone of the master branch and doing cargo run --package counter I have been able to reproduce the exact same observation.

Just migrated from 0.13.1 to 0.14.0-dev and this has improved drastically, both in debug in release modes. Resizing is very smooth now
