gPTP reconfiguration at run time

Hi, i'm trying to set up a simulation of a TSN environment to test various parameters and how they affect fault tolerance/recovery, i noticed that i can't use the scenarioManager module to change the slavePort/masterPorts parameters of nodes in the network to set up alternative paths for gptp sync messages after a fault is detected. Is there a way of doing what i'm trying to do without using multiple clocks?

There's no way to do this out-of-the-box, but you can always modify the code of the relevant modules.

Well, gPTP messages are sent by the Gptp module, it has the port parameters, so you should start there...

ok, i managed to do it by checking the ports parameters and repeating, where needed, the initialization steps every time a node has to send either a sync or a pdelayreq, but i feel like this introduces a lot of unnecessary overhead. Is there a way to "sense" that the ports have changed and only trigger the reconfiguration then?
