Import content converts page or custom post_type into post

Describe the bug
"Import Content" converts page or custom post_type into post.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior: Assuming content import functionality is active

1. Create translation of page
2. Click on "Import content"
3. In popup, leave "Import content" config options default and click "Import content"
4. If the page is still a page, repeat 2 & 3
5. See page has turned into a post and lost connection to the original page

Expected behaviour
The page should remain a page and retain its connection to the original page.

Environment (please complete the following information):

• OS: MacOS
• Browser: Chrome
• PHP Version 7.4
• Plugin Version 2.5.8 (plugin repo)
• Classic editor plugin activated

Additional context
If in step 3, you turn off import Post Fields, everything works as expected.
I have more sites on the network that don't have the plugin active.
