Changing Parameter Values For A Configured Experiment

Im reading through the Configure Multiple Experiments How-To Guide and its very clear how to setup different types of experiments. Such that:

python my_app.py db=sqlite server.port=8080

can be run as:

python my_app.py +experiment=aplite

However im wondering if you can manipulate overrride the parameter values of a given experiment like this:

python my_app.py +experiment=aplite server.port=8081

which would, hopefully, do the equivalent of the following:

python my_app.py db=sqlite server.port=8081

As a follow up question. If the above is possible. How does this work for running multiple experiments where you want to change the particular values within each of these given experiments?

You should be able to confirm this by running the tutorial code, but on reading I think in this command

python my_app.py +experiment=aplite server.port=8081

• +experiment=aplite is determining which global/top-level config you start from
• Anything after that (including server.port=8081) should be valid for overriding the experiment's default config
