Description of issue

I relied on the URLs printed when downloading a cask to get direct links to installer files, but since a recent update the URL is no longer shown. Any workarounds for this?

If you just want to get file url it is much better to use brew info command:

brew info --json=v2 <cask> | jq '.casks[0].url'

If it was installing already, what do you need the url for? There is brew info that can give you information about the cask.
