Dear ManageIQ Team,

We are writing from TIM, the leading telecommunications company based in Italy. We have a few questions to assist us with our work. We're currently utilizing ManageIQ to build a CMP (Cloud Management Platform).

Scenario: Downgrading a Customer's Service Tier

In our project, we have a concept of a resource bundle purchased by the customer. Let's suppose a customer wants to downsize the number of CPUs, RAM, and storage they are paying for.

We need to check if their current resource consumption is less than the new, smaller quota they wish to purchase. How can we retrieve the actual consumption of their quotas via the API?

UI Customization

Are there any open-source projects for a more modern frontend UI? What is the best way to customize it?

We would appreciate it if you could provide us with some sample code from another UI customization to use as an example.

How can we switch all error messages provided by ManageIQ to Italian?

If you are using capacity&utilization then you can view the metrics e.g. cpu/memory usage over a time period by looking at the metrics_rollups tables for the VM in question. That should give you a good idea if e.g. they've breached their new requested limits in the last week/month/etc...

We are converting our current UI to react form-by-form but it is a large effort that often requires API changes at the same time.
The service UI was an example of a standalone new UI for a more specific purpose that we adopted and brought into the project (https://github.com/ManageIQ/manageiq-ui-service/).

How can we switch all error messages provided by ManageIQ to Italian?

Anything you can see on the UI should be localized into whatever locale your user has selected. If you have examples of errors that you're seeing in english can you provide them so we can make sure we aren't missing something.
