Short answer: the problem wasn’t SQLite type casting, it was which variables are set where and inconsistent use of SQLPage variable. You were recreating tables on every page load, using invalid SQL constructs, and comparing today_ = :Datum against a variable that wasn’t actually set the way you expected.
