Adding some docs for Cloudflare since I just went through the setup myself.
I summarized the information I found here: ddclient/ddclient#599
and here: https://github.com/ddclient/ddclient/blob/master/ddclient.conf.in#L186-L194
Note: I did not test the Global API key method myself, just the API token method.
