The PR looks good to me and makes sense to get into 0.8 IMO.

One question is on shared test cases, that come from konveyor/ci repo that is not typically branched by releases. Its github workflows are defined on main branch for all relevant release branches; but shared_tests might make sense be branched (unless it is referenced to a defined commit until updated pulled)). Just thinking.
